  • Step 1: Select Send/Receive tab >> Work Offline

2 - Re-size the Attachment: Set Outlook at offline mode, then traverse to outbox folder. Now, drag the stuck message to draft folder for editing.

Incorrect Email Account Password

Many times, it happens when user changes the password of an email account then they also need to change the account password also if that account is configured in Outlook. To change the password in Outlook follow the steps given below that helps to remove the stuck message error occurrence.

  • Step 1: Open an Outlook >> Files >> Info >> Account Settings
  • Step 2: Choose the account in which password changing is required >> Change
  • Step 3: Enter your new password >> Next >> Finish

Authentication Is Not Set Properly

  • Step 1: Firstly, check settings of your email account in Outlook, Go to File >> Account Settings >> Email.
  • Step 2: Click on Account >> Tools menu >> Account Settings >> Email
  • Step 3: Now, switch to Outgoing server tab and check if all your settings match with those, which are provided by email provider. Do not check the option “Require Secure Password Authentication” unless the mail server requires this.
  • Step 3:Check the Outgoing Server port number is correct on the advanced tab

Check for Outlook Work Mode

To be connected, go to Send/Receive tab >> preferences group >> select Work Offline option to bring it back to online mode. If the messages are still stuck in Outlook, then there must be some internet connection problem.

Set An Account As Default

If the user is getting emails but is not able to reply on them then this situation can be overcome if the user set an account as default. For this, follow the steps below:

  • Go to account settings >> Emails
  • Select the desired account >> Click on set as default.
